Internal Sales Engineer Newport Permanent Our client is a well-established global manufacturer supplying specialist engineered products worldwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Internal Sales Engineer to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing incoming technical enquiries and converting them into accurate quotations for customers worldwide. Working closely with engineering, production and purchasing teams, you will evaluate technical specifications, determine manufacturing costs and prepare commercially competitive proposals. Benefits: Competitive salary of up to £30,000 dependent on experience Hours 08:00 – 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 12.00pm midday finish on Friday 25 days holidays plus 8 bank hols Contributory Pension Death in Service Insurance Excellent culture and staff retention Free annual eye checks Internal progression opportunities Free onsite parking Internal Sales Engineer Role Responsibilities: Reviewing incoming customer enquiries and acknowledging receipt Evaluating technical specifications and engineering drawings Liaising with engineering, production, quality and purchasing teams to determine manufacturing feasibility Obtaining labour, machining and production cost estimates Sourcing material and supplier costs where required Preparing detailed quotations aligned with customer specifications Supporting negotiations around pricing and contract terms Managing enquiries within allocated global territories where applicable Ensuring all quotations and responses are delivered within agreed timescales Maintaining strong customer relationships through clear technical communication Internal Sales Engineer Essential Skills & Experience: Experience producing technical quotations or cost estimates Previous experience within a costing/ technical sales,  or estimating role within engineering or manufacturing Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures Strong communication and organisational skills Experience working with ERP systems Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines If you are interested and have the relevant experience, please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
