Join Our Caring Community and Put Health First! As an Actuary focused on Analytics and Forecasting, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and forecasting financial and economic data. Your insights will be vital for strategic and operational decisions, establishing metrics, and supporting business intelligence efforts. By evaluating industry, economic, financial, and market trends, you will help forecast our organization's financial position both now and in the future. Your responsibilities will include ensuring data integrity through the development and execution of processes and controls. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify business needs, troubleshoot problems, perform root cause analyses, and create cost-effective solutions for data anomalies. You will also advise executives on significant matters and develop functional strategies tailored to specific segments. This position will make you a subject matter expert on the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) population within Humana's individual Medicare Advantage plans, and will involve: Owning and enhancing the ESRD claims forecasting process. Reviewing input assumptions and outputs of ESRD forecasts for accuracy and reasonableness. Summarizing and communicating ESRD forecast results to business partners. Analyzing emerging experiences among ESRD members to understand potential changes and trends. Use Your Skills to Make an Impact! Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree FSA or ASA along with relevant advanced degree, recent work experience, or additional professional designations. MAAA certification Strong communication and organizational abilities Experience across diverse functions such as modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving, or trending Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical skills, especially in SQL, VBA, and Databricks/Python Experience with Individual Medicare Advantage plans Knowledge and understanding of the ESRD population Additional Information: This is a remote position, but you may be required to travel occasionally to Humana's offices for training or meetings. The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for this full-time position. The pay range may vary based on location and individual qualifications, experience, and skills. $129,300 - $177,800 per year This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
