Job Description

Phoenix Landscape is an industry leader looking for a Landscape Maintenance Crew Supervisor, with a good attitude, an excellent work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Clean background with the ability to get a badge at the Military Base.
• Good driving record with a 3-year history required.
• Proven experience in landscape maintenance and landscaping with an eye for detail.
• Strong supervisory skills with a background in leading teams. Ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of lawn care, tree care, and horticulture practices
• Leadership qualities with a focus on team development and maintenance standards
• Turf/Fertilization experience, familiarity with irrigation systems, and groundskeeping techniques preferred. Landscape enhancement knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to delegate work efficiently and stay on schedule.
• Ability to complete all tasks on property with daily instruction from management.
• Willingness and ability to train crew members in all aspects of landscape maintenance
• Takes ownership over equipment and work
• Routine blade changes, and equipment tagging when repair needed
• Ability to clearly communicate crew member performance to management.

Materials and Equipment Duties:

• Maintains the truck and equipment in a safe, clean, working condition.
• Update Lawn Maintenance Manager regarding shrinkage, failure and needed replacements
• Monitor tool assignments and loss/damage; hold team member accountable as needed
• Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment according to manufacturers’ directions
• Maintain Fuel/Mileage logs for vehicles and equipment

Physical Requirements: Bending, kneeling, heavy lifting and excessive walking

• Must be able to tolerate extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to navigate over rough/uneven terrain
• Must be able to observe and inspect outdoor spaces
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
