A company is looking for a Geospatial Data Scientist to support the development of advanced geospatial analytics and machine learning capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Develop machine learning models using geospatial data such as satellite imagery and LiDAR Implement data pipelines to manage large spatial datasets from various sensors and platforms Perform exploratory data analysis and visualization using modern geospatial tools
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field 3+ years of experience applying machine learning to geospatial data Proficiency in Python and geospatial libraries like Rasterio, GDAL, and GeoPandas Familiarity with GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS Experience with spatial databases and cloud-native workflows
