Join Our Team as a Nursery Room Leader!

Location: Jigsaw Pinner Day Nursery
Salary: £31,500 Per Annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round

Welcome to Jigsaw Pinner Day Nursery , a nurturing and vibrant environment located within the Pinner Free Church. Just a stone's throw from Pinner Memorial Park and the West House & Health Robinson Museum, our nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and features three spacious classrooms, a large all-weather outdoor area, and a delightful nature garden for children to explore.

We are on the lookout for a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated team. Established in 1994 and recently acquired by Family First Day Nurseries, we are committed to providing exceptional early years education. Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality records on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS.

Note: Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and additional relevant tasks may be assigned.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience in Early Years: Essential
  • Over 6 months of experience in a senior position: Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
