Join Our Mission-Driven Community and Prioritize Health As an Associate Actuary focusing on Analytics and Forecasting, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and projecting financial, economic, and other vital data, providing essential insights that shape strategic and operational decisions. By establishing key metrics and ensuring data integrity, you will perform in-depth evaluations that support our business intelligence initiatives. Your work will help forecast the organization's financial performance and competitive positioning in both the short and long-term. In this dynamic role, you will champion data integrity by developing and executing processes that govern data flow. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, you will tackle complex issues, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions to any data anomalies. This position will empower you to influence departmental strategies and make informed decisions across various projects. As an Associate Actuary, you will also: Lead long-term projects aimed at enhancing technical maturity, improving process efficiency, and increasing forecasting accuracy, driven by innovation, curiosity, and a proactive mindset. Engage in independent research and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing strong communication skills to thrive in your role. Utilize Your Expertise to Drive Impact Key Qualifications Relevant Bachelor’s Degree Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation Eligibility for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP) Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) Exceptional communication skills Ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable way to non-actuarial audiences A strong passion for enhancing consumer experiences 3+ years of experience in the health industry with an ASA, or 1+ years with an FSA Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL or equivalent expertise Preferred Qualifications Experience in Medicare Advantage Proactive attitude with high self-accountability Familiarity with Python, PowerApps, and PowerBI Travel:
This position is remote, although occasional travel to Humana's offices may be required for training or meetings. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 Salary Range:
The salary range reflects the estimated starting base pay for full-time employment. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $106,900 - $147,000 per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive based on individual and/or company performance. Benefits Overview:
