Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Structures Design Engineers (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our 777X Propulsion Structures team in North Charleston, South Carolina.If this vision and mission responsibility resonates with you, apply and join our Boeing South Carolina team of Structures & Payloads Design Engineer today!Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Mid-Level (Level 3) Structures Design Engineers.Primary Responsibilities:Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Assists with or manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Supports or manages the investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under general supervision or direction.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)2+ years of experience with aircraft structural design2+ years of experience using CAD ToolsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 3: 5+ years of experience with aircraft structural design3+ years of experience with design of composite material systemsDemonstrated autonomy while working with technical teams and projectsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsPrior experience with manufacturing/production systemsExpertise using CATIA and Model Based Definition (MBD) for engine inlet or fan cowl structure designExperience designing and qualifying composite primary and secondary structures, including laminate design, ply-drop strategies, and structural strength considerationsHands on experience with fabrication of metallic and composite structuresConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
