Position Overview: The Procurement Specialist (Data Analytics) supports sourcing and purchasing activities for power delivery construction projects including transmission, distribution, and substation operations. This role is responsible for analyzing spend data, monitoring supplier performance, supporting competitive bidding efforts, and identifying cost and process efficiencies. This position works closely with Operations, Project Management, Estimating, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and strategic purchasing decisions that support safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery. This is a developmental role designed for professionals with 24 years of experience seeking to grow within a high-performance infrastructure environment. Responsibilities: Analyze procurement and spend data across transmission and distribution projects Develop and maintain dashboards tracking KPIs such as cost savings, material lead times, supplier performance, and budget adherence Support competitive bid events by preparing bid tabulations and comparative cost analyses Identify cost-saving opportunities through trend analysis and volume aggregation Monitor purchase order accuracy, pricing compliance, and contract alignment Track material usage and forecast purchasing needs in coordination with project teams Support supplier scorecard reporting and vendor performance evaluations Assist in contract review and compliance documentation Ensure procurement data integrity within ERP systems Collaborate with field operations to align purchasing strategies with project timelines Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field preferred 24 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, construction purchasing, finance, or data analytics Experience in utility construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments strongly preferred Experience supporting field operations or project-based purchasing is a plus Required Skills & Technical Competencies: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query preferred) Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar platforms) Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Understanding of construction materials (pole hardware, conductor, transformers, substation materials) is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Clear and professional communication skills Core Competencies: Data-driven decision making Operational alignment Process improvement focus Accountability and ownership Collaborative mindset Why MasTec Utility Services?
