GENERAL PURPOSE: The IT Project Manager position is accountable for delivery of one or more projects that are low to medium complexity. This position plans, initiates and manages low to medium complexity projects with small to medium-sized teams. The Project Manager establishes and maintains project governance, workplan, resource plan and budget. They monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met and maintain project documentation and traceability. The Project Manager interfaces with members of their project team(s), Advisory Group members and other IT and business stakeholders (Manager through SVP level) as well as vendor resources (depending on project needs). The Project Manager works independently to organize and structure their own work, while providing vision, direction, training and coaching to project team members including third-party partners and Project Lead(s). The role is responsible for continuing professional development to ensure they are following appropriate PM practices and staying current on relevant technology, processes and tools. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Manages the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced u2022 Plans and leads analysis and stakeholder consultation to agree on project scope and deliverables u2022 Plans and coordinates the identification of requirements, document and manage requirements throughout the project; and coordinate verification of achievement u2022 Identifies risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate u2022 Collaborates with IT Contracts and vendor on contracts management, to review statement of work, address callouts from Legal and obtaining signatures in a timely manner u2022 Coordinates with Telecommunications Vendors on contracts, pricing, and the delivery of solutions and technologies u2022 Responsible for maintaining the ongoing relationship with existing Telecommunication Vendors, as well as onboarding of new Telecommunication Vendors as required u2022 Synthesizes information to aid in dissemination to key stakeholders, the planning of projects, and suggest appropriate courses of action u2022 Attends and coordinates attendance of meetings to ensure the successful alignment of team members and accomplish project goals u2022 Central point of escalation for Telecommunications vendor engagement as needed u2022 Drafts and delivers reports and presentations that enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on plan and changes u2022 Leads a small to medium project team communicating project vision coordinating team actions on project activities; and flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed u2022 Builds the capability of the project team through training, coaching, and mentoring u2022 Executes stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met u2022 Identifies, acquires, and manages the resources (physical and human) for the project u2022 Manages project resourcing, including staffing costs, forecasts and variances to ensure effective resource utilization u2022 At conclusion of project, provides appropriate documentation and training to enable successful transition to business u2022 Identifies and records lessons learned to inform future project activity u2022 Reviews existing operations and generate new ideas to guide continuous improvements u2022 Conducts assurance reviews within the project, facilitates the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and takes appropriate action to resolve any issues identified u2022 Leads post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned u2022 Develops own capabilities engaging in development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching u2022 Develops and stays current on relevant tools and best practices in project management as well as understanding of relevant technology, regulation, and industry best practices COMPETENCIES: People u2022 Building Effective Teams u2022 Developing Talent u2022 Collaboration Self u2022 Leading by Example u2022 Communicates Effectively u2022 Ensures Accountability and Execution u2022 Manages Conflict Business u2022 Business Acumen u2022 Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes u2022 Organizational Agility With particular emphasis on the following specific position-related competencies: u2022 Plans, aligns and priorities u2022 Tech savvy u2022 Builds effective teams u2022 Manages conflict u2022 Ensures accountability and execution u2022 Customer focus u2022 Collaborates u2022 Communicates effectively QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: u2022 Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Information Systems or Computer Science or related experience required u2022 5+ years of experience leading project planning and executions in a medium to large company u2022 Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills; effective listener u2022 Resourcefulness - identifies different ways to accomplish work when resources are limited u2022 Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with individuals at different organizational levels u2022 Negotiation: able to obtain consensus between two or more internal or external parties with different interests u2022 Proven organization skills: ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands u2022 Strong MS Office skills - Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft One Drive and Visio. Adept at learning technologies, tools and processes. u2022 Knowledge of PMO tools such as OnePlan, Primavera, Planview u2022 Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project delivery methodologies Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Project Management Certification such as PMP, PBA, CSM u2022 Working experience in the retail industry or similar fast-paced environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
