Join our caring community and help us prioritize health The Actuary for Analytics and Forecasting plays a crucial role in analyzing and predicting financial, economic, and other data to support strategic and operational decisions. This position will help establish metrics, conduct data analyses, and enhance business intelligence. You will evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to provide insightful forecasts regarding our organization's short, medium, and long-term financial health and competitive standing. As an Actuary in this role, you'll ensure data integrity by designing and implementing processes and controls concerning data flow. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business needs, resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and create cost-effective solutions for data discrepancies. Your expert advice will guide executives in developing strategic functional approaches on significant matters. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) population for Humana's Individual Medicare Advantage plans. Key responsibilities include: Owning and enhancing the ESRD claims forecasting process. Reviewing assumptions and outputs of the ESRD forecast for accuracy and reasonableness. Summarizing and communicating ESRD forecast results to business partners. Analyzing emerging trends among ESRD members to identify drivers of change and potential challenges or opportunities. Leverage your skills to make a significant impact Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. FSA or ASA with relevant advanced degree, recent experience, and/or other professional designations. MAAA. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience in at least two areas (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving, or trending). Preferred Qualifications: Proficient technical skills in SQL, VBA, and Databricks/Python. Experience in Individual Medicare Advantage. Familiarity with the ESRD population. Additional Information: This position is remote; however, occasional travel to Humana's offices for meetings or training may be necessary. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 Pay Range:
The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Pay may vary based on location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications. $129,300 - $177,800 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance. Benefits Overview:
