Are you detail-oriented and have a knack for organization? We're looking for an Inventory Control Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is critical to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and that all inventory movements are tracked effectively. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and working closely with warehouse staff to resolve any issues. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and efficient warehouse are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment or disposition.
- Work with receiving and shipping departments to reconcile inventory movements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Uphold stringent safety standards, including the correct use of PPE .
- While not the primary focus, occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required.
- Analyze inventory data and provide reports on key metrics to management.
