Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient logistics operations, ensuring timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments. You will be responsible for accurate record-keeping, proper handling of merchandise, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all shipping and receiving transactions.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including packaging, labeling, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent record-keeping and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support the overall logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Shipping & Receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety in the workplace.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
