Job Summary:
Our growing logistics operation in Richmond, Virginia, is looking for an organized and proactive Warehouse Coordinator. This role is central to managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing inventory levels, and optimizing warehouse processes. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to maintain efficient workflow and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Coordinate with transportation companies and vendors to schedule deliveries and pickups.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes.
  • Handle documentation related to shipments, inventory, and operational activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Foster a culture of safety and efficiency among the warehouse team.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in warehouse coordination or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
