This role is fundamental to our efficient warehouse operations, focusing on accurately retrieving items from inventory to fulfill customer orders. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating specified products, and preparing them for the next stages of the logistics process. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to safety are key in this position. We are looking for energetic individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail. Your primary goal will be to ensure that orders are picked correctly and promptly, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our supply chain. We provide all necessary training and emphasize adherence to safety protocols, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or digital scanners.
- Verify product information to ensure the correct items and quantities are picked.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto pallets for transport.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
- Operate order picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including proper Lifting and handling of goods.
- Ensure your assigned picking areas are kept clean and organized.
- Meet or exceed daily picking productivity targets.
- Adhere to all guidelines regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists or use RF scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
