In this role, you will be at the forefront of our logistics operations, meticulously managing the preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, packaging items securely, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely deliveries. This position is vital for maintaining efficient outbound logistics and ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. You will work closely with the inventory team to maintain accurate shipping records and contribute to a smooth flow of goods. We are looking for individuals who are highly organized, possess excellent attention to detail, and have a strong commitment to workplace safety. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new processes are highly valued. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced team in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, verify, and pack orders for shipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory systems.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Keep the shipping area clean and organized.
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with different shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper handling of goods.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
