Our Washington, D.C. facility is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to support our diverse operational needs. This role is integral to our logistics network, covering a range of tasks from receiving and storing goods to fulfilling orders and preparing shipments. The ideal candidate will be a versatile team player with a strong commitment to maintaining an efficient and safe working environment. You will be responsible for handling materials, organizing inventory, and ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements. We emphasize safety above all else and provide all necessary PPE. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform tasks involving lifting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your contribution will be key to our ongoing success in providing timely and accurate service.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory with accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or operational issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to perform tasks involving lifting, often up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
