We are seeking a reliable and efficient Order Picker to join our New York City, New York logistics team. This position is key to ensuring that customer orders are accurately and promptly prepared for shipment. Your primary responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items based on order tickets, verifying picked items, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. The ideal candidate is energetic, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and is committed to upholding high standards of productivity and workplace Safety. - Accurately locate and pick specified items from warehouse inventory using order sheets or scanners.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
- Keep the work area clean and free from hazards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques and consistently use provided PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Capacity for physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic Logistics operations is a plus.
