We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring speed, accuracy, and a commitment to efficiency. You will use scanning equipment and follow specific picking instructions to ensure orders are processed correctly. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order sheets or electronic pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Keep the picking areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to handle lifting requirements, up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory procedures.
- Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
