We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our growing warehouse facility in Orlando, Florida. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory to fulfill customer orders and then carefully packing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our logistics chain. You will utilize scanning devices and follow detailed order instructions in a fast-paced setting. We prioritize a safe work environment and expect all team members to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using order pick lists or scanners.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy against order requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply correct shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any stock discrepancies.
- Keep the picking and packing areas clean, orderly, and safe.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents and product information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the shift.
- Must be able to handle lifting requirements, up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Dedicated to maintaining a safe workplace and following safety procedures.
