We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our Sacramento, California warehouse team. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials and products within the facility, ensuring efficiency and safety are always top priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct inventory handling and securement.
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming materials against order documentation.
- Stock materials in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare materials for production, shipment, or internal transfers.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safe lifting practices and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the overall logistics team by performing various warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
