Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our Columbus, Ohio distribution center! This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a strong commitment to safety, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accuracy and minimal damage to goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
