Job Summary:
Our San Francisco, California location is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage the inflow of goods into our warehouse. This vital role ensures that all incoming inventory is accurately documented, inspected, and processed efficiently, forming the critical first step in our logistics pipeline. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a strong understanding of inventory management principles. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and preparing goods for put-away.   • Receiving all incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspecting goods for any damage or discrepancies and documenting findings.
  • Accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Unpacking, sorting, and staging incoming merchandise for distribution to appropriate areas.
  • Coordinating with shipping carriers and internal departments regarding incoming freight.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required PPE.
  • Assisting with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
  • Managing returns and issuing return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
  • Performing general warehouse duties as required to support logistics operations.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse/inventory role is required.
  • Proficiency with computers and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate lifting (up to 30-40 lbs).
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
