We are seeking a customer-focused
Applications Technician
to provide hands-on technical support for precision machining and tooling equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, installation, training, and preventative maintenance at customer sites, along with remote and phone-based technical support. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, technically strong, and comfortable working independently in a travel-heavy, customer-facing role. Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for a full line of precision machining and tooling equipment Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at customer sites Perform installations, service, and preventative maintenance Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal sales teams Support customers and sales teams via phone and remote assistance Assist with product demonstrations, in-house demos, and trade shows (occasional weekends) Inspect, service, and maintain demo and customer equipment Balance, preset, and shrink-fit tooling as required Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and CRM entries Coordinate with global technical and customer support teams Required Skills & Competencies Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience working with capital equipment or precision machinery Proficient computer skills (MS Office required; AutoCAD a plus) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High level of professionalism and customer focus Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours Education & Experience High School Diploma required Technical school graduate or 2+ years of relevant field service / applications experience preferred Additional Requirements Valid driver's license Ability to obtain a passport and travel internationally Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in industrial environments Must be comfortable standing, climbing, kneeling, and working around machinery Work Environment Customer sites, production floors, and office environments Exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures Besides the fantastic state of the art facility and career growth we also offer an excellent Benefit Program that among others includes Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage, Life Insurance, Long-term and Short-term Disability Insurance and a Retirement Plan (401K)
Pay Details:
$80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
