Operate a variety of forklifts and material handling equipment in our Minneapolis, Minnesota warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility, supporting order fulfillment and inventory management. This role requires a high level of concentration, adherence to strict safety protocols, and proficiency in operating machinery. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to staging areas for shipping.
- Stack and unstack merchandise in designated locations.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Accurately record inventory movements.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including some manual Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance checks on equipment.
- Strong commitment to Safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to handle moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
