Join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach as a Picker/Packer! This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various tools and equipment to get the job done. We are looking for motivated individuals who can maintain high productivity standards while adhering to all safety protocols. Your contribution is vital to our supply chain's success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Inspect picked items for damage before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing targets.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and handle moderate physical exertion, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
