We are seeking a motivated Material Handler for our bustling New York City, New York facility. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and production areas. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating various types of equipment, and maintaining an organized workspace. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the physical capability to handle materials are essential for success. You will play a key part in our supply chain, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are handled correctly and efficiently, supporting overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store materials and products in designated locations.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage or production areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Assist in taking inventory and maintaining accurate records of material movement.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling devices safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE ).
- This role requires considerable manual dexterity and the ability to perform heavy Lifting , typically up to 50 lbs.
- Support production and shipping departments by ensuring timely material availability.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
