Join our team in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Warehouse Worker! This position is vital to our daily operations, involving a range of responsibilities to ensure our warehouse runs smoothly. You will be involved in receiving, storing, organizing, picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. A commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and above all, safety, is paramount. We are looking for hardworking individuals who are reliable and can work well in a team-oriented environment. Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus, but not a requirement as we provide comprehensive training. Your role will directly contribute to the successful execution of our supply chain. We place a strong emphasis on safety, requiring adherence to all guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a great opportunity to develop skills in the dynamic field of logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks.
- Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures, including safe Lifting practices and the use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar physical labor role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety and understanding of basic safety principles.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
