We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and management to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. The ability to follow instructions and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring correct placement and inventory accuracy.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere strictly to company policies regarding safety, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
