We are hiring a skilled Warehouse Technician for our advanced facility in San Diego, California. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, maintenance, and Safety protocols. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine maintenance, ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse machinery, and assisting with general warehouse tasks. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity within our Logistics network. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, a problem-solver, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. We provide a comprehensive safety program, including all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and opportunities for professional development. This is a key position that ensures our warehouse infrastructure supports our ongoing operational demands and adherence to strict Safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor belts, pallet jacks).
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed, including material handling and inventory checks.
- Assist with Loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper Lifting techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a warehouse technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and Safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
