We are hiring a dynamic Shipping Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas warehouse. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be at the forefront of our outbound logistics, ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched to our valued customers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to guarantee that all shipments meet quality standards and are prepared for timely delivery. You will work closely with the warehouse team to manage shipping schedules, prepare documentation, and coordinate with carriers. This is a key position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our distribution network. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, organized, and committed to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and shipping requirements.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and damage before dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain an organized and safe shipping area, ensuring all materials are readily accessible.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to inventory management and perform cycle counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a shipping or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
