We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our bustling warehouse team in Dallas, Texas. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in our logistics operations by ensuring accurate and efficient processing of incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for all inbound shipments, responsible for verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory management system. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining organized records. Your efforts directly contribute to the smooth flow of materials through our warehouse, impacting our ability to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately enter received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stock received inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring safety and accessibility.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding inbound shipments.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety guidelines.
