Seeking an Order Picker in Madison, Wisconsin! This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and efficient order preparation. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for retrieving items from shelves and preparing them for shipment within our fast-paced logistics environment. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to upholding high standards of Safety and accuracy. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse locations using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items appropriately for transit, following established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with Loading and unloading goods, which can involve considerable Lifting.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors.
- Contribute to overall team goals and the smooth functioning of the logistics department.
- Proactively identify and address potential Safety hazards in the work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and willingness to use required PPE.
