Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our growing warehouse operations in Sacramento, California. This position is vital to our logistics network, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods. The successful candidate will be adept at operating forklifts and committed to maintaining a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Conduct routine pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and location accuracy.
- Follow all established safety procedures and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure operational efficiency and smooth logistics flow.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Uphold company standards for performance and safety.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with relevant certification.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and lifting guidelines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
