We are hiring a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our Indianapolis, Indiana location! This role is crucial for managing the timely and accurate dispatch of all products leaving our facility. You will be responsible for processing orders, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with transportation providers. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outbound shipping orders efficiently.
- Generate and verify shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Ensure that all shipments are correctly packed, labeled, and staged for carrier pickup.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any delivery issues.
- Conduct regular checks on shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Perform other administrative and warehouse tasks as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with shipping software and order processing systems.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with carriers and internal departments.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain best practices.
- Commitment to a safe working environment and proper PPE usage.
