Avanade Inc. seeks Managers, Analytics Experience in Philadelphia, PA to design and develop interactive and automated experiences using data and analytics tools and processes. In this role, you will: use data mining, analysis, and modeling skills; utilize emerging and established technologies to design business-driven requirements and optimized and scalable solutions that highlight insights discovered from data; employ advanced proficiency with SQL to generate and extract data to play a meaningful role in enabling data discovery of core issues, trends, expected and actual outcomes for humans and machines consuming the data; implement project plans around reporting tools, information dashboards, data visualization, and other end-user information portals or resources; contribute to teams by providing technology-based data reporting tools and management for business segments or the company at large; bring expertise in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations based on company reporting and data needs; advise business groups by providing technical and strategic reports that adhere to industry best practices; identify and work with domain experts to understand data reporting requirements, baselines/targets, and other custom logic regarding business processes necessary to develop accurate and insightful dashboards and reports; generate ad hoc reports and datasets for end-users utilizing system tools and database/data warehouse queries and scripts; develop and maintain production-level reports, information dashboards, data pipelines, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources, which may include creating specifications for reports based on business requests; and integrate data from various sources to produce requested or required data elements and build scalable data models. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of Philadelphia, PA.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or closely related field, plus at least seven (7) years of experience as a Manager, Analytics Experience, or in a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment. A qualified applicant's experience must include: 7 years of experience with Power BI, or Tableau, or other BI tools, including report development, data visualization, and storytelling; 7 years of experience in data engineering using Azure stack (Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, and/or ADF), or other Microsoft data solution landscape; 6 years of experience with data analysis and data modeling of large scale, complex data sets; 6 years of experience with SQL and writing complex queries in Dax and Power Query (M language) for complex calculations and transformations; 4 years of experience with Power BI architecture and PBI security including RLS and RBAC; 3 years of experience with governance principles and security and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to industrial regulations and best practices; and 4 years of experience leading and managing analytics teams (on\offshore) to develop and deliver data-driven insights that support business objectives and creating and implementing work plans for assigned projects and/or programs.
