About the job
This role focuses on providing hands-on operational support and driving the optimisation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance. As an Industrial Engineer you will identify gaps, implement corrective measures, and lead improvement initiatives that support stable, scalable operations. Through structured project implementation, this position plays a key role in enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
- Operational support for series production with regard to process and quality improvement and implementation of corrective measures (e.g. optimising and documenting machine settings and approving production)
- Development and implementation of short- and long-term corrective measures
- Optimisation of production processes through the application of lean methodology
- Introduction of process innovations for the further development of the production and handling process for the purpose of cost savings and quality improvement
- Implementation of rationalisation projects (development of cost/benefit analyses, technical project planning for special-purpose machines, introduction of equipment into production)
- Responsibility for handling and completing the entire industrialisation process, from enquiry processing to series handover in accordance with the APQP2 standard
- Professional Fluency in German and English
- Within commutable distance to be based in the Velten office
- Successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in process engineering, or comparable skills and knowledge
- Professional experience in a relevant field is an advantage
- Knowledge in the field of plastics/rubber processing is desirable
