Are you a skilled and safety-conscious operator? Our Durham, North Carolina facility is looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate inventory placement, maintaining the integrity of stored goods, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. This position requires a high level of skill in operating specialized equipment, a strong understanding of warehouse layout, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately place and remove inventory in racking systems at various heights.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and system updates.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation is required.
- Demonstrated knowledgeof warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing PPE.
