The CTO ensures that all technology systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and compliant with federal and state regulations and legal practices.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Network & Infrastructure*
* Design, implement, and maintain secure on-premises and/or cloud-based network infrastructure
* Oversee cybersecurity measures including intrusion detection, access controls, encryption, and incident response
* Maintain compliance with data protection standards relevant to legal (e.g., GLBA, FTC Safeguards Rule, state privacy laws)
* Manage vendor relationships for ISPs, cloud providers, VoIP, and security services
*Programming & Software Development*
* Lead development and maintenance of custom applications, integrations, and SasS applications.
* Develop or supervise APIs and integrations third-party vendors
* Ensure clean, maintainable, well-documented code and enforce development best practices
* Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, compliance, and scalability
*Strategic & Operational Leadership*
* Align technology strategy with company growth, compliance requirements, and operational goals
* Create and manage the IT budget, forecasting future technology needs
* Lead and mentor IT staff
* Establish IT policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures
* Serve as a technical advisor to firm leadership on risk, scalability, and innovation
*Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 7+ years of experience in IT leadership, software development, or systems architecture
* Strong hands-on experience with:
* Azure framework, multi-tendency, and SasS application deployment
* Server environments (Windows/Linux)
* Firewalls, VPNs, and security tools
* Application development (e.g., .NET, C#, Python, Java, or similar)
* Experience managing sensitive, regulated data
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in legal or financial services
* Prior experience supporting compliance-driven organizations

* Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
* Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
