Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a System Design Engineer to support system and subsystem design, requirements development, integration, and verification activities within a ground vehicle environment.
This role ensures system designs are fully defined, traceable, and validated through integration and testing down to component and software levels. The selected candidate will support cross-functional engineering teams to deliver compliant, on-time system engineering products.
Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements and software requirements • Ensure requirements traceability and validation through testing • Perform functional analysis and develop operational flows • Decompose performance and verification requirements into design verification plans and reports • Identify, define, and manage power, data, and system interfaces • Maintain system, subsystem, and component interface alignment • Support network bandwidth allocation management for vehicle functions • Integrate and verify system components in lab and vehicle environments • Develop and execute integration, test, and verification plans • Provide technical input to program planning, schedules, and cost estimates • Author test procedures and technical reports • Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues
Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) • Strong experience in system/subsystem/software requirements development, design, and test • Experience with data bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553 or similar) • Experience with Requirements Manager (Teamcenter) and/or DOORs • Experience troubleshooting complex systems • Ability to write test procedures and reports • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs of test equipment • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications • Military vehicle knowledge • Experience in diagnostics, verification, requirements, C4, or software user interface domains
Work Environment • 100% onsite • Overtime may be required • Limited travel may be required • No sponsorship offered
