*About the Role*
Seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support the *hands‑on implementation of the Atlan data catalog*. This role focuses on execution, metadata curation, governance operations, and enabling business and technical teams to adopt catalog and governance standards.
*Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* *5–7 years* in data governance, metadata management, data management, or analytics platform support
* Experience with a data catalog (*Atlan preferred*, Collibra or Alation acceptable)
* Strong understanding of metadata, data domains, ownership models, and governance best practices
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Hands‑on Atlan implementation experience
* Familiarity with Snowflake or cloud data platforms
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
* Exposure to data quality, privacy, or compliance initiatives
*What You Will Do*
* Support implementation and daily use of the *Atlan data catalog*
* Curate and maintain business glossary terms, technical metadata, ownership assignments, tags, and classifications
* Assist with metadata ingestion, validation, lineage review, and quality checks
* Execute governance processes, onboarding new data domains and subject areas
* Document governance procedures, standards, and best practices
* Support domain governance models, stewardship workflows, and issue resolution
* Assist with RBAC setup, role definitions, access validation, and access reviews
* Collaborate with business, technical, and governance teams to drive catalog adoption
* Track and report on metadata quality, governance activities, and usage metrics
