Duration: This would be a 6 - Months Contract to hire position.
Location: Everett, WA
Schedule: M-F, 7:30a-4p (no starts prior to 7a)
Key Responsibilities: Design and assemble test fixtures. Lead a team of technicians and engineers in a noisy, light industrial setting. Execute static/abuse/cycle testing on various aircraft interior components. Assist technicians with test setups and provide guidance to achieve daily tasks. Maintain awareness of all aspects of testing programs and adapt to shifting priorities. Communicate professionally with test witnesses on-site. Troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Qualifications:
Fluent in English
(written and spoken) Ability to
follow and give verbal instructions . Self-motivated ,
team player
with a willingness to work independently. Punctual
and able to adapt to shifting priorities. Physically capable
of lifting at least 50 lbs and working on elevated platforms up to 20' with fall protection. Willing to wear PPE
(e.g., masks, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection). Comfortable using
basic solvents
like acetone and handling materials like lead shot with proper safety precautions. Steel-toed boots
required. Required Experience:
Proficiency with
3D modeling and drafting
software (Unigraphics preferred, Catia, Solidworks). Experience in
designing and fabricating
using materials like steel, aluminum, and wood. LabVIEW
programming skills. Experience in writing and interpreting
Test Plans/Reports . Familiarity with
simple electronics
for cycle test execution. Ability to work with
design/stress engineers
to design test fixtures. Hands-on experience with
hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems . Comfortable working with
hand and power tools
(e.g., grinders, saws, drills). Fabrication skills
in mechanical work such as carpentry and/or metalworking. Proficiency with
manual lathe, manual mill, chop saw, table saw, band saw , and other woodworking and metalworking tools. Bonus Experience:
Previous experience
with static, abuse, or cycle testing (specifically in aerospace). Experience with
rigging ,
bridge and gantry cranes . Skilled in using
precision measuring equipment
(e.g., torque wrenches, calipers). Education:
Bachelor's Degree
in a relevant field is required.
