What You'll Do:- Engage in proactive and reactive debt collection primarily via telephone and email to enhance cash flow and reduce DSO.
- Reconcile customer payments and maintain the sales ledger accurately.
- Ensure customer payments align with agreed payment terms.
- Identify and resolve potential and current issues, including invoicing, pricing, and delivery queries.
- Communicate effectively with commercial business partners to resolve queries.
- Monitor customer trading to ensure accounts remain within approved credit limits.
- Keep the management team informed of all key issues.
- Maintain processes accurately in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting requirements as needed.
- Deliver exceptional service to both external and internal customers.
- Support the business and management team with project work when required.
- Essential: Experience with financial systems, particularly SAP ERP.
- Background in FMCG or banking.
- Confident negotiation skills.
- Understanding of finance processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of business compliance policies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proactive in seeking improvements in cost, service, and quality.
- Self-motivated with a determination and can-do attitude.
- Able to build effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Brings energy during both positive and challenging times.
- Confident in holding others accountable for commitments.
- Quick to surface issues and work towards resolutions.
- Adaptable to changes in systems and processes.
