This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech therapy to support a wide range of populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' functional abilities and develop tailored treatment plans.
* Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
* Implement therapeutic interventions for diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals in early intervention programs or skilled nursing facilities.
* Manage case documentation accurately, including progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries.
* Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use.
* Participate in outpatient clinics or school-based programs to support patient care in various environments like home health or post-acute care facilities.
*Requirements*
* Valid occupational therapy license or certification applicable in the practicing region.
* Proven experience working with individuals with autism, disabilities, or in pediatric and geriatric populations.
* Familiarity with acute care settings such as ICU or inpatient units; ICU experience is highly valued.
* Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech therapy fundamentals relevant to occupational therapy practice.
* Experience with care planning, case management, discharge planning, and post-acute care coordination.
* Ability to work effectively across multiple settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, or schools.

Pay: $46.00 - $53.00 per hour
