The Vaud Hospitals (FHVi) is the preferred partner of over 12 hospitals and regional health facilities in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many digital challenges within the health sector and has the main missions of planning, designing, implementing, and operating the IT system for its members. There are more than 110 dedicated to serving over a large number of workstations distributed across around one hundred geographic sites and three cantons (VD, VS, FR).Are you passionate about IT and technology? Within the Systems team, composed of 11 multidisciplinary engineers, you will play a central role in maintaining, evolving, and ensuring the infrastructure of the systems. You will primarily intervene on the IT infrastructure – Microsoft, Linux, storage, backup, data center – ensuring consistency of architectures, as well as adherence to standards and to secure environments.Key Responsibilities:1. Participate actively in the maintenance and evolution of the IT infrastructure.2. Contribute to the design and implementation of good practices across the entire scope.3. Design and deploy solutions aimed at simplifying infrastructures and automating recurring tasks (via PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, OpCon, etc.).4. Contribute to systems management processes, in line with objectives of reliability, security, performance, and complexity reduction.5. Ensure the operational maintenance of systems while anticipating necessary evolutions to meet future needs.6. Participate in technological monitoring and propose relevant evolutions to advance the technical environment of FHVi, particularly in infrastructure management.7. Collaborate in managing the IT infrastructure and associated equipment (servers, storage, etc.).8. Install and configure servers according to established procedures and best practices.9. Manage the lifecycle of IT infrastructure components: updates, upgrades, service renewals, decommissioning of obsolete systems.10. Monitor systems via monitoring tools and ensure resilience and security.11. Provide level 2 and 3 support in relation to requests and incidents reported via the service management tool.12. Document procedures, workflows, and good practices to ensure the sustainability of knowledge within the team.13. Participate in on-call services according to established modalities.Requirements:- Higher education (Bachelor or Master’s degree), or equivalent title.- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a systems engineer in a similar role, ideally in a complex environment.- Technical skills: - Proficiency in automation and scripting: OpCon, Terraform, Puppet, PowerShell, Ansible. - Proficiency in VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, cluster management, and resource management. - Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring with tools such as Zabbix (deployment, proactive monitoring). - Proficiency in backup solutions: Veeam Backup & Replication (or similar tool), disaster recovery/business continuity. - Good knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, PKI, WSUS, RDS farms. - Good understanding of complex architectures: high availability, active-active configuration, security by design, load balancing, NAS/SAN storage, firewalls, schedulers, networks, SSO, monitoring, VPN, messaging. - Knowledge of Linux environments: scripting, operating in professional infrastructures; holding certifications (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) is considered an asset.- Ability to analyze the needs of stakeholders and translate them into relevant technical solutions.- Aptitude for solving complex problems independently while effectively collaborating with other team members.- Overall capacity to align technical choices with long-term objectives and needs; ability to anticipate technological changes to suggest ongoing improvements.- Rigor, sense of responsibility, and good writing skills, particularly for technical documentation.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences (technical and non-technical).- Team spirit, service orientation, and a desire to share knowledge.Languages:- French: excellent oral and written proficiency.- English: ability to express oneself clearly in a professional context (technical exchanges, etc.).Work rate: 100%What we offer you:- A stimulating opportunity to evolve in the healthcare sector, a field that is constantly evolving and meaningful.- The possibility to actively contribute to ambitious projects related to ongoing digital transformations.- Employment conditions with regular salary progression adapted to responsibilities, in accordance with regulations in effect at FHVi: 13th month of vacation per year (30 days starting at age 50).- Access to training to support your professional development.- Possibility of remote work (40% depending on conditions).- Subsidized on-site parking and easy accessibility via public transport.Looking for your next adventure?
