Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will coordinate, plan, schedule and supervise maintenance tasks and work orders. They will also ensure all parts are available to perform the jobs, maintain ongoing library of drawings, sketches, pictures, and catalogues of parts.

Job Responsibilities
Reviewing work requests for accuracy and clarity and approving them as needed
Escalating issues to Reliability Engineer, for work that does not appear to be valid or well justified
Working with Production Supervisors and Superintendent to ensure that assets are prepared for maintenance work as scheduled. You will also be working with Engineering Department to ensure documentation (including drawings, BOM-s, instructions etc.) are readily available for trades people, prior to commencing the work. Will coordinate with storeroom / Warehouse Coordinator to ensure that all parts required for the jobs have been identified, secured and properly kitted well in advance
Working with Maintenance Department to ensure tasks have all the necessary instructions, tools and safety precautions for the job at hand Provides feedback to the Maintenance Superintendent prior to completing the work orders that were signed off by the mechanics.
Leading planning and scheduling meetings for line shutdowns and ensures planning for opportunistic maintenance. Provide job estimates and follow-up to ensure they have been accurately met by the trades
Managing work order backlog based on equipment criticality
Keeping accurate metrics on performance of planning and scheduling and provides reports to Reliability Engineer
Providing support to Corporate Reliability Team and collaborating with other IKO Plants as required
Participating actively in any new projects initiated by the Company, such as introduction of predictive maintenance, new CMMS (Maximo) etc. Providing training and support to maintenance personnel on CMMS as required (Maximo)
Following up with trades people and contractors to ensure work requirements associated with preventative maintenance, projects and day-to-day work orders are completed
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of planning/scheduling experience with Maximo preferred
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electrical background is required
Adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirements and skills needed to complete a job. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentational) skills, demonstrated leadership skills. Strong mathematical skills. Good working knowledge of MS office
Ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings. Ability to provide simple and accurate instructions
Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion
Excellent organization and analytical skills (problem solving & trouble shooting) skills
