Salary Range $112,247.20 - $128,752.00 Salary Description
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for support, maintenance, and building the NEMS Enterprise Network Infrastructure upholding HIPAA security compliance. Essential Job Functions: Manage software driven infrastructure at scale and with code configurations Analyzing, designing, troubleshooting, implementing, maintaining, and managing network functions per organization requirements and needs Secure all network connections following HIPAA and industry best practice Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade/patch networking equipment including layer 2 and 3 switches, wireless infrastructures, routers, firewall, and VPN Manage and monitor all WAN and LAN traffic to run optimally and securely. This includes phone system/VoIP, video conferencing system, real time application usage, mobile devices (BYOD) and other data transfers Troubleshoot any network connectivity and performance issues; regularly analyzing system logs and network traffic and providing root cause analysis Evaluate, test, and propose network enhancements Design, develop and maintain detailed documentation for installation and configuration of network infrastructure Interfaces with System Administrator, Database Administrator, and IT Architect on various projects including testing backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plan Perform software upgrades, patching and security risk posture services Continue to build processes and automation with continuous improvements to deployment of infrastructure services Create and maintain technical documentation of the infrastructure and processes Lead, and coach/mentor other level 1 and level 2 team members on various projects and steady state operations especially for critical/high outages/service disruption Support and resolve day to day issues/requests/tickets for various criticality with urgent/non-urgent determination Participate in rotating on-call services Perform, maintain, and test all system backups and restore Perform root cause analysis and risk mitigation steps with corrective actions Responsible for uptime, performance, reliability, scalability, security, and high availability of critical infrastructure Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science or similar field or 5 years of relevant work experience preferred Minimum of 5+ years progressively responsible in Network Administration or comparable IT environment 5+ years experience working in corporate IT infrastructure including but not limited to WAN, LAN, wireless, data centers and VPN technology 2+ years of experience working on SD-WAN configurations 5+ years experience with VMWare virtualization infrastructure 5+ years experience in disaster recovery (DR) systems and methods Network Architecture experience managing multiple on-prem data centers, 20+ sites, remote access, and 1000+ devices Hands-on experience with Layer 3 and above networking protocols, such as TCP/UDP load balancing, SSL/TLS termination, and HTTP/HTTPS traffic management Working knowledge of Internet protocols such as LDAP, DNS, SMTP etc. Proven knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls Proven knowledge of CISCO products Servers, WebEx, CSM, Call Manager, UCCX, Phone systems etc. Experience in healthcare applications such as Epic Systems, Claims Systems CCNP certification is a plus CISCO Certification Specialist / Professional / Expert is preferrable Language (preferred/asset/required): Must be able to read and write English Ability to speak Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is an asset Status: This is a FLSA exempt position.
