At Fearless, the Principal Solutions Engineer is an experienced technical advisor and strategist who has an established history of success navigating the landscapes of government agencies and helping them to drive their strategic initiatives forward. This role will own innovation and solutioning for a subset of government agencies and leverage their deep industry knowledge with a sharp awareness of emerging technologies, domains and industry to tackle complex business challenges, strengthen our reputation and directly influence the strategic direction of high-profile accounts. The Impact You Will Create: Strengthen Fearless' reputation as trusted advisors and experts in the government and enterprise sectors. Contributing to Fearless' growth by expanding relationships within key accounts and identifying new opportunities for engagement. Capable of leading cross-functional teams through technical challenges, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ability to guide business unit leaders and teams in aligning technical solutions with the organization's strategic direction. Presents and socializes recommendations and strategic roadmap to client stakeholders by demonstrating thought leadership and build credibility and rapport with prospective clients. Proactively identifies repeat and expansive opportunities while working on client engagements while leveraging domain and technical expertise to inform capabilities, staff and resource requirements. Managing Priorities & Client Alignment: Skillfully negotiates and manages conflicting priorities to strategically align decisions, enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction. Environmental & Customer Awareness: Maintains awareness of agency and other external dynamics, power structures within client environments as well as regulatory trends and contract requirements that influence service delivery and company expansion/growth. Complex Solution & Definition Positioning: Translates business requirements into technical solution requirements, coordinating technical expertise, sizing, scoping and defining delivery and deployment approach timelines, identifying required resources, coordinating demonstrations of proof of concept supporting internal deal acceptance Solution Presentation & Facilitation: Clearly presents and leads discussions on technical IT solutions for government customers, translating complex concepts into accessible language. Engages stakeholders, builds trust, and aligns solutions to mission, regulatory, and technical needs ensuring solutions solve customer challenges. Specific Experience Requirements Government Experience (Federal, State & Local) 8+ years leading technical discovery and solution design for government agencies (federal, state, or local), translating mission requirements into implementable architectures Direct experience navigating government security and compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, StateRAMP, FISMA, ATO processes, and NIST 800-53 controls Demonstrated ability to design solutions within government constraints including authorized cloud environments, Zero Trust identity requirements, and legacy system integration Experience designing constituent-facing and mission-critical systems: benefits administration, case management, licensing/permitting, and public safety Understanding of intergovernmental integration challenges and data sharing across local, state, and federal systems Proven success in conducting architecture-level conversations with government technical teams, security stakeholders, and executive leadership Cross-Cutting Government Consultative Skills Proven ability to run deep technical discovery sessions that uncover mission needs, constraints, and decision criteria across diverse agency stakeholders Track record of translating complex government requirements into phased implementation roadmaps, MVP-to-scale strategies, and operational models Demonstrated success building trusted advisor relationships with government program managers, technical evaluators, and executive sponsors Experience presenting solution recommendations, tradeoffs, and risk mitigations to both technical working groups and executive audiences Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings. Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings. Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills. Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds). The salary range for this position is: Minimum Salary: $128,453 Salary Midpoint: $170,200 Maximum Salary: $211,947 Hiring Range for Role: $128,453-$ 200,000 *This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
