What You Will Do:

At GFT ,ourteam is dedicated to creating efficient, innovative solutions forour clients.We areseeking a Civil Engineering interninterested in learning career skills throughassistingour experienced Engineers in the design process and preparation of plan sets.Successful candidates will be exposed to multiple engineering disciplinesincluding;interstate and arterial roadway design, freight rail design, hydrology and hydraulics, sitedesignand utilities, as well as traffic studies and data collection.Additionally, there will beopportunityto performconstruction inspectionduties onvarious typesof construction sites. Whatyou'llbe challenged to do: During your internship, you will work alongside a highly collaborative civil engineering team supporting a variety of public and private projects. You will receive guidance, supervision, and mentorship from experienced engineers and project managers with your professional growth asthepriority. Many of our internscontinue their internship throughout their academic career andtransition into full-time roles upon graduation.
In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following: Performvarietyof tasks related to Civil Engineering to support design, analysis, and plan production. Support preparation of engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, technical reports, andpermitsubmission packages. Utilize CAD, GIS, and various other design softwareunder the direction of senior engineers. Coordinate with internal team members andparticipatein project meetings and training opportunities. Education | Experience:
Whatyou'llbring to our firm: Currentlyenrolled in an ABET-accreditedBachelor's or Master'sdegree program in Civil Engineering,or Environmental Engineering. Demonstrated interest in civil design,roadway or rail design,or infrastructure engineering through appliedacademic projects,priorinternships, or related experiences. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Willingnessto learn, seek feedback, and engage multiple perspectives when solving problems. Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Company Overview:
