We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. This management role is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a strong focus on safety. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance management to foster a productive and motivated workforce. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, optimizing storage solutions, and overseeing the receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes within our logistics network. This position requires a deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics best practices, and a proven ability to implement process improvements. A critical aspect of this role is upholding and enforcing rigorous safety standards, including conducting regular safety audits, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and mandating the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, an effective problem-solver, and dedicated to continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing tasks that may include significant Lifting and requires a proactive approach to risk management and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse operations and staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate execution of all warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse personnel to achieve performance goals.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including PPE usage.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and warehouse safety inspections.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics integration.
- Handle operational issues and implement timely resolutions.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting and operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
