Job Summary:
Join our dedicated team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Tampa, Florida. This position is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to ensure optimal stock management. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of warehouse processes will be essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across the warehouse, ensuring accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), updating as necessary.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with receiving, stocking, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all team members understand and adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in training other staff on inventory control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
